About Me
Hiii!!
I’m Paola Molina Guzmán, an actress born and raised in beautiful Puerto Rico. Growing up on the island shaped how I connect with people, and I bring a little island sparkle with me everywhere I go. I’m currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I recently earned my BFA in Musical Theatre from Utah Valley University.
I’ve basically been performing my whole life. I grew up dancing in front of the mirror while my mom played La Quinta Estación, Cultura Profética, and LOTS of salsa music through the house. I loved watching myself move and coming up with my own little shows. I’d make up routines and recruit my cousins and friends so we could film them, because we were fully convinced that we were on our way to Disney Channel fame!! Those early memories are a big reason I’m here now and why I love telling stories. I’m drawn to stories that build connection and community, especially ones centered on bold women who take up space and refuse to be ignored. Whether I’m working on a musical or a play, I love finding what makes a character come alive and sharing that with an audience.
Some of my favorite roles include Jo March in Little Women and Marianne in The Revolutionists, and I am beyond excited to step into the shoes of Andrea Devereaux in an upcoming production of Once On This Island.
When I’m not performing, I love going out for a cocktail or a coffee, and telling myself I’ll only stay out for an hour or so and then not doing that. I’m also constantly trying to catch up on my Letterboxd watchlist, which keeps growing for some reason… Most of all, I’m getting ready for what’s next. I’m New York–bound, and I can’t wait to dive into theatre life there. Follow me on Instagram and come be part of the journey! @paolamolinaguzman
